Edmund Allen McCarthy Jr. passed away on May 29, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Chicago, Illinois but while in grade school moved to Oklahoma City and graduated from Bishop John Carroll High School. Ed followed his father in a professional career in outdoor advertising and was a long time supporter of Bishop McGuinness High School. Shortly prior to his death, Judy & Tom Love (Judy is Ed's sister) and their family established the Ed McCarthy Scholarship Fund at McGuinness High School. Like Ed, who always believed that Catholic education was an important part of his faith, many students at McGuinness will benefit from the Ed McCarthy Scholarships annually with this endowed Fund at the Catholic Foundation.
